Share Your World – Week 1

The Share Your World Challenge is another challenge I’m trying to catch up on. I just have the letter N left for the A-Z Photo Challenge and I’ll have that one completed. Here are my answers for the first week of Share Your World:

What is your favorite color?

Navy Blue

Music or silence while working?

Both. If the workplace is noisy, and I need help focusing I will put my ear buds on and listen to music. Lately, if the place is quiet, I will enjoy the rare peace and quiet to refresh my stressed out self. In the past, I would listen to music even in a quiet work area out of habit of being busy all the time.

Do you prefer shopping or going to a park?

If it is not extremely hot outside, I prefer the park.

Your favorite place within 2 hours of your home?

A small perpetual adoration chapel within a Catholic church near my mother and father’s house. It is very quiet and peaceful.

Share Your World-Week 20

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

I would say 29.   I like the 20’s.  Not too young or too old.  I have an 11 year old son and have been married 13 years, so this age would make sense.  Anything younger would not seem right.  Interesting question for today. Today is my birthday.  I’m 37 today.

What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you?

When no one else would, someone really listened to what I had to say without judgement.  My dear husband has done that for me many times.

What was your favorite childhood television program?

Charlie Brown Specials.

Which cooking utensil (other than the usual pots and pans etc) would you miss the most?

Wooden stirring spoon. It keeps the pots and pans from getting scratched.

Share Your World-Week 19

Do you believe in ghosts?

I believe in spirits. I’m not sure they are the same as ghost.

What is your best recipe?

I don’t cook much. My husband does most of the cooking. But one of my best recipes is rice balls. Unfortunately, I lost the recipe. Basically, the rice balls are about 1/2 to 1 inch in diameter, made of white rice and parmesan, breaded, fried, and very tasty.

What is your most favorite smell/scent?

The scent of strawberries. Reminds me of when I was a child and had a collection of scented Strawberry Shortcake and her friends figurines. Not the new modern Strawberry Shortcake, but the original.

What subject was your favorite in all of your schooling? Why?

Science. I’ve always been intrigued to learn how everything works. Now with Psychology, which is a science, the workings of the human mind and behavior fascinate me.

Share Your World-Week 10

1. Can you change a car tire?

I think I could figure it out. Several years ago, my husband taught me how. I have never had the opportunity to try on my own.

2. Are you a collector of anything?

Yes, music. I hear a song I like and I want to download it to my iPod. Or if there is a movie I like I will download a song from its soundtrack to remember it.

3. If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to?

Kate. Short and to the point.

4. What am I wearing right now?

I’m at work, so I am wearing my standard office clothes- black slacks, blue blouse, and comfortable Naturalizer oxfords. I’d rather be wearing a T-shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes. My favorite ensemble. No fashion, just comfort.

5. If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?

An oak tree. It is strong and able to resist strong winds.
