A Year of Gratitude

Yay, I stuck with my goal of one year of quotes! Since I’ve reached the last week of “Just-A-Quote”, I’m ready for a new goal: “Just Gratitude”. For the next year, I’ll post one thing I’m thankful for every week.   I’ve been practicing the Ignatian daily examen prayer for several months now and have discovered what a difference acknowledging your gratitude makes in seeing life more positively.  I hope sharing my weekly gratitudes can help others experience gratitude.  I’ll be posting the first “Just Gratitude” soon.

Thoughtful Pay Phone

This pay phone and signs caught my attention. Thought provoking reminders to pray, reflect, and refresh your day. It’s wonderful how the simpliest things can be full of meaning.

God, Family, & Geek

This is a wonderful C.S. Lewis quote I have never seen before. As a Catholic, a parent, and sort of a geek, I can really appreciate this one. The picture is awesome, too. By the way, I didn’t create it, I found this pin on Pinterest and had to share it here. I wish I knew who made it to say thank you for a really nice one.

Spiritual Peace

(February Peace Post)

“May today there be peace within.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

It is there for each and every one of us.”

St. Thérèse de Lisieux
